Life's disappointments

So, my ability for humorous insight into life is clouded by this:

i found the house of my dreams. I put in a bid on said house. Bid on said house was rejected.

Feels like a bad break up. I had already started planning where the furniture would go, what would go on the walls, who I'd invite to the house warming party (all of you, of course). i had even planned what my blog would look like when i told you all about my charming new home. I feel like one of those morons on American Idol who is SO SURE they are the all time awesomest vocalist, only to have Simon say, "That is absolutely horrendous. I would rather lick the underarm of a sweaty, overweight man than listen to your putrid voice another moment!" ( i'm assuming you read that with simon's accent. if not, go back and do it right.)

so, c'est la vie, Breanna, c'est la vie.

I hate being denied.

Hey breanna, move to Sandy with us. We bought a house and are moving in 9 months after it is built. Seriously. Look at www.holthomes.com. We are having the Lincoln model built for us. Please move there and be our neighbors. We are in lot 86. Our move in date is March 1st. 2006

hmmm. i doubt that with ben and breanna involved, it had nothing to do with credit and everything to do with just plain being outbid. as the builder, you take whoever offers more.

i'm sure it was roach infested and shoddily built. you're better off, i'd bet.

(sooooooo soo sorry)

boy, i really worded that awkwardly. here. i'll sum up.

ben and breanna denied for credit issues = no

ben and breanna denied because someone offered more cashola = yes

maybe you should look into online gambling? i hear it's quick easy money.

basically, it sucks that you can't know how much the other folks involved are offering. if you could know, you could slip another fiver in. daaaang.

Oh, Breanna. I'm so sorry. That's really a dissapointment.
Check out my job though if you're looking to build. I would be the lovely voice on the phone.

I know all about disappointment. Like the time I won this awesome contest put on by this wonderful woman, and then never received a prize. C'est la vie indeed! (I assume you know that is frenchie for "that's life")

"C'est la vie said the old folks, it goes to show you never can tell..." (i assume you know that is chuck berry for "classic")

My deepest apologies for not mailing the brown bag prize. I just want you to know that it is still completely yours, and will be arriving very soon. Let's chalk this one up to stress induced forgetfullness due to said house catastrophe. Forgive me? I'll throw in an extra package of Twizzlers Pull 'n Peel for your troubles.

for all of you who will be participating in the next installment of "What's in the Brown Bag" (which debuts this week) I hope you'll not hold this against me, or allow it to deter you from fighting for the prize.

also, just to be very clear, ben and i have awesomme credit. let's put an end to these rumorous questions shall we?

Ryan: why you gotta be drumming drama?

I'll throw in an extra hug and a wicky wicky the next time I see you if you do that.
