I have found some PHENOMENAL music.
They're called "Sigur Ros" and they're from Iceland. It is some of the most beautiful and original music i've heard. i'm not even sure how i found them. they've got four albums out to date, and i read that they're getting ready to release a fifth. One album which has no name, but it titled " ( ) " is written entirely in "hopelandic," a language created by the group that has no translation. it's mesmirizing. seriously. Promise me you'll at least TRY it....they're not for everyone, but they just might be for YOU! leave me a comment and let me know what you think (also, if you already know and love them, then i totally respect you, and want to know what else you listen to...)
I've come to a conclusion.
Bjork=icelandic
and
sigur ros=icelandic
therefore
iceland=AWESOME

yes, THE vanilla ice was a hoot. he's actually a real person, as opposed to a pod person. it was shocking. and, he's all like, faithful to his wife and stuff. go on vanil (that's what i call him, vanil).
I saw The Vanilla Ice in concert. I'd have to say TVI was one of the worst shows I've ever seen.
I've heard much about these Sugar Rio dudes. It may be time to investigate.

thanks for taking me seriously and actually checking them out! I'm so proud of you...and you're completely entitled to your LSD stance. all i know is that i LOVE them...and they're great music for falling asleep to.
just because ninety percent of my music listening time is devoted to THE vanilla ice, doesn't mean i don't know who sigur ros is....
the other ten percent of my listening is very lsd laden. i mean, eclectic.
It is beautiful.
What I don't understand is how they would come up with names for their songs if they are in no language. Then again, I don't read Icelandic so maybe the names of the songs are made up too!
